Raspberry leaf (Rubus idaeus)
50 ml Tincture 1:2 liquid extract
Ethanol 23%
Herbal actions:
- Astringent – Substance that causes constriction of mucous membranes and exposed tissues usually by precipitating proteins
- Partus preparator – Substance taken in preparation for labour and childbirth
- Antidiarrheal –Substance that alleviates diarrhea
Indications /prescribing :
Ensuring healthy uterine function at childbirth (when taken during pregnancy )
Abnormal bleeding from uterus, stomach, or bowels
Mouth ulcers , diarrhea
Dysmenorrhea
Topical treatment of tonsillitis .conjunctivitis, sore throat
Stomach complaints in children

Use in pregnancy and Lactation:
No adverse affects expected in pregnancy or lactation ,but confining use to the second and third trimester is more appropriate.

None expected if taken within recommended dosage.

4.5 to 14 ml of 1:2 liquid extract
Recommended weekly dose 30 to 100 ml of liquid extract per week
