Herbal Actions:

• Antiasthmatic –Substance that prevents or relives asthma attacks
• Spasmolytic – Substance that reduces or relieves smooth muscle spasm.
• Antiprotozoal – Substance that kills protozoa or inhibits their growth ,activity

Indications /Prescribing 

Congestion and spasm of the respiratory tract ,especially chronic bronchitis ,laryngitis ,asthma ,emphysema and whooping cough.

Common cold

Amebic dysentery and  gastrointestinal protozoal infections

Intestinal worms

Bowel disorders such as intestinal amebiasis

Colic

No adverse effects expected

Side effects:

None expected if taken within recommended dose range .Based on the traditional literature ,large (undefined) doses Euphoria may cause nausea and vomiting and may cause epigastric distress with nausea.

Dosage :

0.7 to 2 ml of Liquid extract daily

5 -12  ml of 1:2 Liquid extract weekly
