Indications/Prescribing:
Obesity associated with iodine deficiency.
Thyroid conditions resulting in iodine deficiency.
Rheumatic conditions including arthritis.
Myxedema (condition resulting from advanced hypothyroidism)
Lymphaenoid goiter (most likely simple type resulting from iodine deficiency rather than exophthalmic type, which indicative of hyperthyroidism.
Contraindications:
Hyperthyroidism, pregnancy, lactation, and cardiac problems associated with hyperthyroidism.

Contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation.
Interactions:
Bladder Wack may interact with thyroid replacement therapies(thyroxine).
Side effects:
Kelp (species undefined) has caused transient hyperthyroidism (estimated iodine intake 2.8 to 4.2 mg/day and raised levels of thyroid stimulating hormone.
Dosage:
4.5 to 8.5 ml of 1:1 liquid extract daily
Recommended dose 30 to 60 ml liquid extract per week.
