DETOX: Another great benefit from soaking is that it gives the body the opportunity to release waste products via skin into the water. Use comfortably hot water for best results. Perspiring helps the excretion process. When the body can release toxins via the skin it eases the burden of processing of the toxins back through the digestive system via kidney and liver. REMEMBER to drink a lot of purified and mineralised water to allow best blood circulation, blood pressure and detoxing. If you feel faint or hyper-stimulated in a hot bath it is a sign that your cells are dehydrated. Reduce the heat of the bath and drink more water. In this case it is wise to avoid sodium salt until symptoms disappear and blood pressure returns to normal, as sodium tends to dehydrate.

Bentonite clay – BC has a negative charge. When blended in water those negative charges, attract positive charged toxins and heavy metals. Those toxins are no longer roaming as free radicals but now bound to the bentonite for our body to eliminate.Bentonite contains essential minerals such as
- calcium
- magnesium
- potassium
- silica
- sodium
- iron
These minerals are very important in maintaining the health of your heart, muscles, bones, and blood.
Epsom salt – Provides essential magnesium and sulphates-eases stress-enhances detoxification-relief to aching muscles and joints-essential for calcium distribution
-help remove calcification’s-performs a vital role in many body functions.
Himalayan rock salt – Himalayan salt has been used to help detoxify the body in the form of a brine treatment. Most commonly done in the form of a bath, brine baths purport to detoxify the body through osmosis. As the sodium binds the water to the outer layer of your skin, moisture is preserved. Toxins are released from your body, while your skin absorbs the healthy minerals from the sodium into your body. As a natural source of sodium, Himalayan salt provides an essential mineral for healthy bodily functions. Sodium helps to regulate blood volume and thus blood pressure, as well as helping to control muscle contractions, nerve transmissions and heart functions.
Bicarb soda – Baking soda is known as nahcolite, which is part of the natural mineral natron. Natron contains large amounts of sodium bicarbonate and has been
used since ancient times as a deodorizer, soother and cleanser. Feet Soother – Create your own foot bath with a tablespoon of baking soda and warm water. The baking soda will remove bacteria and odours, and it will help to prevent toenail fungus.
Borax– Did you know Borax is an essential trace element for humans, and being low in this mineral allows a host of chronic diseases to take hold .We have researched its use in the body, and are convinced it can genuinely bring relief to many chronic muscle and bone conditions such as arthritis, and as with Magnesium, many of us are very low in Boron. Borax has excellent antiseptic, antifungal, and antiviral properties with mild antibacterial action. It is essential for the integrity and function of cell walls, and the way signals are transmitted across membranes.
Borax is essential for healthy bone and joint function, regulating the absorption and metabolism of calcium, magnesium and phosphorus through its influence on the parathyroid glands. Boron deficiency causes the parathyroids to become overactive, releasing too much parathyroid hormone which raises the blood level of calcium by releasing calcium from bones and teeth. This may lead to osteoarthritis and other forms of arthritis, osteoporosis and tooth decay. With advancing age high blood levels of calcium lead to calcification of soft tissues causing muscle contractions and stiffness; calcification of endocrine glands, especially the pineal gland and the ovaries; arteriosclerosis, kidney stones, and calcification of the kidneys ultimately leading to kidney failure. Boron deficiency combined with magnesium deficiency is especially damaging to the bones and teeth.
Magnesium Chloride Magnesium is a mineral that assists in over 300 biochemical reactions including blood pressure, muscle function, and energy production ‘Transdermal magnesium’ means that magnesium ions are absorbed via the epidermis – the outside layer of the skin. Just as we can sweat out electrolytes, the skin is also capable of absorbing electrolytes in via the same channels. It is a very large membrane – and a self-regulating one at that. When we swim in the sea we can absorb electrolyte minerals from the salt water. Transdermal absorption of minerals has been practiced for thousands of years in a process called ‘Balneotherapy’ (salt water bathing in mineral springs) to relieve arthritis and tight muscles. Magnesium uptake was tested extensively in balneotherapy studies by Russian scientists and others over the last century which demonstrate superior absorption of magnesium via the skin.
Himalayan Pink Salt Himalayan Pink Salt is naturally rich in 84 nourishing and skin replenishing minerals.
Sodium is an essential trace mineral found in salt. The body needs this for a variety of functions.
It can support:
- contracting and relaxing muscles
- maintaining proper fluid balance and preventing dehydration
- sending nervous system impulses
- preventing low low blood pressure
Recent research has suggested that eating salt can reduce the risk of infection and kill harmful bacteria.
