Contains NLT 1.2mg/ml of essential oil.
Herbal Actions:
- Carminative – Substance which relieves flatulence an soothes intestinal spasm, and pain, usually by relaxing intestinal muscle and sphincters.
- Spasmolytic- Substance that reduces or relives smooth muscle spasm (involuntary contractions)
- Antioxidant- Substance which protects against oxidation and free radical damage.
- Antimicrobial- Substance which inhibits growth of or destroys microorganisms.
- Circulatory stimulant-Substance which improves blood flow through body tissues. Circulatory stimulants are warming, and they support vitality in the body tissues.
- Hepatoprotective- Substance which protects the hepatocytes (liver cells) against toxic damage.
Indications/Prescribing:
Increasing mental alertness and memory.
Enhancing phase 1 and 11 detoxification by the liver.
Achieving antioxidant and hepatoprotective effects, preventing atherosclerosis.
Circulatory weakness including hypotension.
Dyspeptic conditions and particularly for improvement of hepatic and biliary function.
Headache, depression, debility. Hypertensive headaches ,migrananious.
Topical treatment for myalgia, sciatica, and intercostal neuralgia.
Contraindications:
No known contraindications have been found for Rosemary, although caution may be warranted in women wishing to conceive. Based on the cineole content in its essential oil.

Interactions:
Nonheme iron absorption was significantly decreased in females.
Use in pregnancy and lactation:
No adverse effects expected.
Side effects:
None expected if taken in the recommended dose range. Contact allergy has been reported for rosemary and may be the result of the constituent carnosol.
Dosage:
2.0 to 4.5 ml of 1:2 liquid extract daily.
Recommended dose 15 to 30 ml liquid extract per week.
